  5. In addition to the light green staining 
  6. of the tear film seen over the corneal 
  7. surface, the tears in the tear meniscus 
  8. (also called tear prism, lacrimal lake, 
  9. tear strip) along the lid margins is 
  10. easily seen.  With dry eyes this tear 
  11. prism is decreased in size and may be 
  12. essentially absent in places.  
  13.
